About us
Here at Paws Awhile Canine Camp our K-9 Counselors have over 40 years of professional law enforcement and private sector canine training experience. Our training foundation is built on a proven, positive and reliable philosophy. Our Mission is to provide your dog with a solid understanding of training and ultimately, live a happy and cohesive life as part of the family.

Owner, Angela Brotherton, has twenty years experience in the canine training field. She has selected and trained dogs for law enforcement and pet owners. Angela also competes in K-9 Nose Work with her Goldendoodle, Gable. Experience in problem solving skills and assessment of behavioral and environmental issues has resulted in successfully providing owners and canines with resolutions. Training obedience with a positive reinforcement method is a fun and enjoyable experience for both dog and owner.

Angela has been a guest instructor at many seminars and workshops sponsored by NNDDA, NAPWDA and is a judge for NACSW. She is a certified detector instructor and an explosive canine handler. Her work has taken her to St Thomas VI, Los Angeles, Nashville, and Dallas providing Explosive K-9 screening for major corporations.
